On February 28, the 3rd Guangdong Trademark Brand Annual Conference, organized by the Guangdong Trademark Association, took place at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. With the theme “Promoting Trademark Innovation and Safeguarding the Global Expansion of Bay Area Brands,” the conference attracted over 500 representatives from government agencies, international organizations, industry associations, leading enterprises, and academia. The event focused on strategies for trademark brand development, injecting fresh momentum into the internationalization of brands from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
PurpleVine IP co-organized a sub-forum alongside MOZLEN, Jingtian & Gongcheng, Sanyou IP, and Liangma Law Firm. Experts from renowned companies such as 37 Interactive Entertainment, Alpha Group, Jiangxiaobai, and New Oriental shared best practices and insights on applying big data to trademark management. Ms. Zhang Xuting, Director of the Trademark and Copyright Department at PurpleVine IP, delivered a keynote speech titled “From Examination to Injunction: Strategies for Chinese Enterprises Under the EU Trademark System.” She provided an in-depth analysis of EU trademark filing trends, registration and opposition procedures, infringement litigation risks, and proposed actionable strategies. Her global perspective offered Chinese enterprises professional guidance on navigating EU trademark protection, empowering brands to overcome challenges in overseas business.
During the awards ceremony at the conference gala, PurpleVine IP was honored with the Fengming Tianxia “Outstanding Contribution to Social Responsibility Award” in recognition of its exceptional achievements in intellectual property and commitment to social responsibility. From March 5 to 7, the 3rd IP Forefront ICT Forum was successfully held in Shenzhen. This premier global event for the information and communication industry brought together over 300 participants from more than 100 technology companies across 10+ countries to explore new paradigms in SEP governance.
As a partner of the forum, PurpleVine IP contributed cutting-edge insights. During the forum’s gala dinner on March 6, IP Forefront launched the “Initiative for Building a Healthy SEP Licensing Ecosystem” and presented the SEP Industry Excellence Awards.
