SHENZHEN - February 6th, 2026 - Maxeon Solar Pte. Ltd. ("Maxeon") and Shanghai Aiko Solar Energy Co., Ltd. ("AIKO") have officially announced a landmark patent license agreement regarding Back Contact (BC) solar technology. According to public filings, AIKO has been granted a license to use Maxeon's BC cell and module patents for the next five years outside of the United States. The total value of the license fee is reportedly RMB 1.65 billion.
This represents a significant step forward in promoting technological collaboration and respecting intellectual property rights in the renewable energy sector.
